Trompenburg house

Trompenburg house in 's-Graveland is unique in many ways. It was built for a naval here, Cornelis Tromp, like a ship in the water, including the decks on the top. Most of the building is made of wood, which is quiet exeptional. It consists of an octagional hall, a corps the logis and a narrow connection part. The hall is covered with naval paitings, thus forming a tribute to its owner and it has clear resemblance wit the Hall of Orange in Huis ten Bosch.
