Akerendam House

Akerendam House in Beverwijk is one of the very few remaining stately homes in this town. Most of them disappeared due to industrialization and the realization of the Noordzee Canal. The house dates from the 17th century and it is a fine example of dutch architecture in that period. The back side dates from the 18th century. The house can be seen from the road side.
